She Sheds are a new Trend in Modern Garden Sheds
According to Country Living the latest trend in Garden sheds across the UK is called the “She Sheds”.
Traditionally the Garden Shed has been considered place of solace for men, a place to store, work on projects and build things or simply a place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the home.
The She Shed is here to Stay.
It is a reality that more and more ladies are now staking claim to the garden shed as a place of isolation that they can call their own. Whether it be a haven for gardening, potting and nurturing plants or a quiet spot to relax with a good book, a radio and a comfy chair, or a hobby area to get the best from the down time away from work and the stress’s of modern family living.
Step 1: Is to clean out the clutter from the shed. Sort through the old garden tools and boxes, decide what will be kept and where it can be stored then donate the things you no longer have a need for.
Step 2: Give your she shed a fresh coat of paint, or add insulation for those cooler months. Add some colour to give your new she shed some character, if you are using the she shed as a place of relaxation use pastel colours and to use your shed all year round you may consider insulation.
*Insulation tip – Bubble wrap is a cost-effective alternative to insulation boards and can be covered with chip board for as smooth finish and painted to reflect the internal style of your she shed.
Step 3: Design in the purpose of the she shed, once you have decided on the purpose of the shed then you should start to put in place everything you need in your she shed or garden workshop. For example, if your “she shed” is to be used as a craft workshop then it’s important to have a place to work from with easy access to tools and materials along with a place for inspiration and ideas.
Add extra shelving, workspace, storage or seating to personalise the she shed and to get the most from your she shed.
Step 4: Decorating the she shed adds character and creates a space that you can enjoy. Decorating the she shed should not cost an arm and a leg, craft fairs, car boots and flea markets offer unique and unexpected finds that can be transformed into the She Sheds key features.
Step 5: Bring the outside environment inside, by surrounding the she shed with natural and grassy plants, vines and window boxes and adding freshly picked flowers in feminine floral patterns to create the hideaway feature to your she shed.
Step 6: Make the entrance inviting, your she shed should be inviting as a gesture to invite you and your friends to spend time. To make the entrance enticing you can add structural features, improved lighting or decorations (such as romantic outdoor curtains) to create an impact.
Step 7: Make the she sheds features a reflection of yourself or your pastime. As your hobbies and aesthetics change, update your shed to reflect them—after all, it’s your space! It should transform with you. And of course, we can’t forget the best tip of all: There are no rules when it comes to creating the perfect she shed—it’s all about you being you.

Garden Workshop Customer Review
I just thought you might be interested to see what my bespoke 20′ x 8′ Workshop/Storage shed looks like. it’s been treated insulated, wired up, fitted out, and the weather is now a little better than it was on the day Kev & Lee erected it. I am really delighted with the quality & finish of the end product, and think it looks fabulous. My next door neighbour does too, so much so, she has jokingly Christened it ‘Pete’s shed of Fabulousness. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sheds Direct
Having just received delivery of my new 10 X 8 Dutch barn I could not be happier with my purchase, the quality was exactly as described, extremely well constructed heavy duty Dutch Barn which looks really good. Kevin & co turned up on time & completed the construction with the minimum of fuss in a friendly manner & I would definitely recommend Sheds Direct To anyone wanting to buy a quality product.
10×8 Dutch Barn
After a lot of research we decided to buy a 10×8 Dutch Barn shed and we are absolutely delighted with the result. Really solid and exactly to the specification promised. Recommend you pay the extra to get shed erected on site as the panels are pretty heavy and it needs at least 2 people to put this together.
